when i switch my compuer on,the monitor is automatically switching itself on to stand by,even if i manually press the button it's still switching to standby,it seems that the computer won't put it monitor on.

You've offered two scenarios for the situation. However, in either it could be the monitor or your video adapter which has a problem.

Have you tried another monitor on the system?

Or, have you tried the current monitor on another system?

Do you have a spare graphics card?
