I recieve this error and before i could just open up my tower and push in the cords a little harder and it started up normally. But now i cannot, I tried replacing my video card with my newer one, but it did not help. I tried reinserting the ram and other cards...still nothing. Do u have ne ideas? I would very much appreciate it
Which cords? Pushing in where?before i could just open up my tower and push in the cords a little harder and it started up normally
Is the monitor plug in & screwed down?
Any bent & or missing pins?
The video card, etc... but that isnt doing the trick nemore...No bent or missing screws...The monitor is fine...i checked it out. Have any other ideas?
Have you ensured that the cables (power and data) going to the IDE devices (hard disk(s) and CDROM's etc) are fully inserted into the devices and into the motherboard connectors?
What exactly appears on the monitor screen?
Does it just stop during the POST (Power On Self Test)?
Is this a "Brand Name" system? (Hewlett Packard, Gateway, Dell, Compaq, IBM, etc)
If so, what's the system model number?
