Problem MPEG files
hi, i have a few mpegs which won't play on real player and only play the audio part on windows media, is there something wrong with my player, and if not is there some way to convert the file to an audio format instead. thanks.

You may have to download updated codecs for your player(s).
It is however, quite possible that the mpeg files themselves are somewhat corrupted.
"... is there some way to convert the file to an audio format instead."
Pretty well every version of windows has "Sound Recorder", which will record in the .wav format. These type files are space hogs, and a utility which will convert .wav files into mp3 or similar is desired if you're short on drive space.
You just queue up Sound Recorder, then open the file you want to record in the appropriate player, and hit "Record" on the Sound Recorder. You should end up with a .wav audio file. (You may have to enable certain "channels" in your Mixer Utility for your sound device.)

thankyou, i think it is a problem with the actual files, only problem is that on sound recorder i can only record 60 seconds.

Sorry, my mistake. I've used the "Recorder" which came with the software for my sound device. (SB Live!) Do you have such a device with your sound device software?
