How do I find out my own computer's specs?
I am thinking about buying a new computer. I do not know the specs to my old computer, and I needed help as to how I can find out the specs of the somputer I currently own. I do not have a manual, receipt, or anything- only the computer. Also, I wanted advice: Is a 2.8 Ghz, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB hard drive, HP INtel Celeron 335 Pavilion PC worth $300 brand new?

A good general scan is here:

Is HP Pavilion 335 the exact model #?
-
Well, its just called the "HP Pavilion desktop PC woth Intel Celeron 335 Processor". The processor is 2.8 Ghz. With upgrades to 512MB, 80GB, and CD Burner, the total cost is $300. It comes with a free printer ($80 value). The original computer specs without upgrades is 256 MB, 40 GB.

Also, is there any way I can find out my specs without using any downloads?
-
HP:

Hard to say without the specific model # but as you see they start at $250.
Specs without downloads?
Try browsing your Device Manager: Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc
Or dXdiag: Start/Run/ dxdiag
Belarc shows alot more detail.

Thanks. I have another question. In the My Computer screen, when I click on the C: Drive, it says my comp. has a max capacity of 28.4 GB storage. Is that the hard drive storage amount? Also, the comp I was thinking about is the HP a1000y, since it has Intel Celeron 335. THanks a lot for your help!

See Disk Management for more details on drives.
Start/Run/ diskmgmt.msc
If it says 28.4 total then you probably have a 30gig drive.
