My computer starts about once every 100 tries. Every other time I turn on the computer everything gets power, but does not post. It just sits there and runs, then once in a while it will actually run and let me get into windows(XP). My specs are: P4 2.8, NVIDIA GEFORCE FX 5900 ULTRA, THERMAL TAKE THERMAL ELECTRIC COOLING SYSTEM, 512mb DDR, GIGABYTE GA 8KNXP MOTHERBOARD. Any help at all would be appriciated.

Did this just start occurring whereas the system was working before?
or,
Is it a new install of XP?

What service packs are installed?

This started recently, and I have not recently installed XP. I think that my processor may be fried.

Any confirmation to the above re; the processor?
