    Keyboard Cursor Acting Weird

My laptop keyboard has been acting weird lately, when I type messages the cursor sometimes jumps back or highlights previous words, then when I restart to type everything comes out wrong. I have not spilled anything on my keyboard, and it looks pretty clean under the keys. I scanned my comp with ad-aware and McAfee and removed any viruses, trogans, I also rebooted in safe-mode and scanned under that and removed everything I found. I still had the problem. I unistalled and reinstalled the keyboard driver. Heres a hijack this log:

That's a clean log file you've got there. The "Myway" entries are very similar to "Mybar" which is adware but, in fact, "Myway" refers to a Dell site.

I've seen the problem with the keyboard that you've described on two completely different Sony laptops but not on Dells before. What model have you got?

Just had a thought - do you have a trackpad below the keyboard? Accidentally stroking part of your hand over the trackpad as you type will potentially make the mouse pointer move somewhere else on the page. This is a common problem. In Control Panel, there is often an option to disable it while you're typing.

Nope, I never touch the pad when I type, The keyboard on this model is pretty far up from the touch pad. On a side note, this thing started when I rolled back my touch pad's driver becuase it was't responding correctly.

You say: "this thing started when I rolled back my touch pad's driver becuase it was't responding correctly"

Can you describe this situation in more detail?

Did you find the driver in the above link?

Before you tried to roll back what did you install?

Well the touch pad was acting rather strange, The mouse cursor wouldn't move correctly, it kept jumping back to its original position. I didn't even update the mouse driver, but I was still able to roll it back..

I searched for the driver and couldn't find it. Heres the driver info for both the laptop touch pad and keyboard.

Keyboard: Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural Ps/2 Keyboard
    Driver Provider: Microsoft
    Driver Date: 7/1/2001
    Driver Version: 5.1.2535.0
    Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Publisher
    Here is the touch pad:

    Mouse: Ps/2 Compatible Mouse
    Driver Provider: Microsoft
    Driver Date: 7/1/2001
    Driver Version: 5.1.2600.0
    Driver Signer: Microsoft Windows Publisher
I didn't install any major programs at all.

Ok I have installed the mouse touchpad driver and so far I have not gotten any problems with my keyboard, as of yet. Thanks a lot I noted my mouse and keyboard used the same driver, I guess that caused some confusion.
