SanDisk Cruzer Micro flash drive problem

    Hello,
I recently purchased a 512 mb SanDisk Cruzer Micro flash drive to copy some work files to transfer to my home computer. Both computers run Windows XP. I plugged it in to my work computer and it was immediately recognized, and I copied the files without a problem. I got home and plugged the drive into my computer, and it detected new hardware, but did not recognize what it was, and it was not listed anywhere on the computer directory. I checked Windows Explorer, My Computer, and Disk Management under Admin Tools. The light went on in the flash drive, so the computer was reading it. I checked the SanDisk web site, but that was no help, and did a Google search but found nothing that helped. Any suggestions as to how I can get my home computer to recognize the flash drive? Thanks.

    George

Did you check the Device Manager?

    Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc

Not only for the Flash Drive but also the USB bus controller?

Can you think of any other difference between your work computer & your home?
