and the psu is q -tec 550 watt...was thinking that might be the problem..any advice would be great!!!

Is this a new problem? Were you ever able to play these games?
As to the temp screen ... is that a temperature monitor?
It definitly sounds/feels like a heat problem ...
Are you familiar with opening the case?
Clean the dust ... check the fans ... run with the case open with a room fan blowing in ... any difference?
-
its a digital sensor thats connected to both hard derive and cpu....i have tried complete dusting out and fan blowing in no luck...i play world of warcraft and never winter knights....sometimes it can run for ages ok...other days i cant stop crashing...but its only when i play games...only the odd time when im surfing...hope that helps a bit

Look in your Event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
Or: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or Start/Run/ eventvwr
Open the system as well as the application tabs & look for X errors. Click error line for details.
Post back the source & event id especially of errors that seem to coincide with a crash.
Also view your Error Log via:
[1] Start Menu
[2] Help and Support
[3] Pick a Task
[4] Tools
[5] Advanced System Information
[6] View the Error Log
Also:
Go to start | search (type in) .dmp
Note the location of your latest .dmp file.
Then:
1) Download and install the
Debugging Tools from Microsoft
2) Download and install this
debugwiz
3) Open the Wiz & Browse to, or paste in the path to, your latest .dmp file.
4) After the Wiz creates a Text document attach it back to this thread.

the one that was having the problems in the error log was a thing called true vector service...sometging i gather to do with graphics drivers?....any ideas now guys?...lol.....does my graphics card driver need unistalling and then updated?...thx in advance
-
True Vector Service would be activated by your Firewall.
Alot of issues with Zone Alarm here.
-
so i gather to shut down zone alarm when playing games?...i still have nortons running...would this be safe enough for my system?.....
-
Do you have the SP2 wall activated?
It is at least worth turning off ZA just to see if that is the issue.
-
many thx m8...ill try and see if that works...would be weird if thats all it was.....
...was at least expecting something expensive to be wrong
-
tried turning off za but it didnt matter..still get the odd crash......
