Just to clarify:
1) With 2 cdrom drives connected all was fine?
2) With 1 cdrom drive connected you have problems?
3) Are theses games on CD?
4) When does the computer reboot?
-a: when inserting a disk?
-b: when starting a disk?
5) Does all activity with the cdrom drive reboot the computer?
6) Is the one cdrom drive connected as Master?
Also: look in your Event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
Or: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or Start/Run/ eventvwr
Open the system as well as the application tabs & look for X errors. Click error line for details.
Post back the source & event id especially of errors that seem to coincide with a crash.
1) yeah all fines
2) Yes
3) No they are fully installed that not requires CD
4) computer reboots then im starting the game:
when title comes it all ok and it reboots when i starting loading game to play for ex:
when im driving car in game
5) no, its all ok when im trying to look in cd files or media or something
6)yeah one of them are connected
plz answer if you know problemthnx
The problem is very strange & may take a bit of troubleshooting.
In other words alot more questions before awnsers.
You say that one of your CD-ROMS is now broken?
So that even with both connected you get the reboot now?
How are your drives configured? Do you have an IDE PCI controller or are your drives connected to the motherboard directly?
Are both your CD-ROM drives on the same channel/ cable?
If so what happens when you unplug that cable from the motherboard?
Also did you check the Event Viewer as described in the above post?
Also check the Device Manager: RT click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager or go to start/run/ devmgmt.msc for any "!"
No, for now there are broken both CD-ROMs, no but after the broke when they were both connected, the PC didnt restarted. Yeah they were connected directly. actually that problem came from nowhereyeah cd-roms were with same cable with different channels. I didnt tryied to unplug cable from board but i will try and answer. "Also did you check the Event Viewer as described in the above post?" i dont understand this question
But I repeat: this problem came from nowhere ! :/
Edit: Iwe just tryied to unplug cable from motorhead and its happen the same, PC rebooted when i tryied to play MOTO GP 2 and other games.

I am moving this to the hardware section for other opinions.
Will also continue to search for ideas.
okejbut please help me somehow i dont know what to do
Just to clarify again:
You have 2 CD-ROMs & both are broken?
If you have both broken CD-ROMs connected: then your games play OK?
But if you disconect the broken CD-ROMs you cannot play your games?
Also can you say how these CD-ROMs are broken?
If they are connected do they get power? Do the lights flash?
Are they detected in either the BIOS or the Windows Device Manager?
Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc
Also check here for any yellow "!" especially by the
IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers +
Secondary IDE Channel
Also try looking here for errors:
[1] Start Menu
[2] Help and Support
[3] Pick a Task
[4] Tools
[5] Advanced System Information
[6] View the Error Log
yeah they are broken, yeah when they are connected games play ok, yeah if i disconnect them both or one of them i cannot play games. CD-ROMs lasers are broke and they cannot read files of CDs, because CD-ROMs are old, this problem of rebooting was started when one of CD-ROM just was starting to read CDs wrong, i was thinking that the problem will go allright if i change CD-Rom but it didnt changed anything then i borrowed new cd-rom from a friend to check how my PC will work. When they are connected the ligths flashes and BIOS detects those CD-ROMs in device manager. Ok i will look those errors and i will write that that they says. Thanks
Now i just looked for those errors, the last error was "2005 m. birželio 25 d. Applicatio n Error Faulting application cubasesx3.exe, version 3.0.2.623, faulting module cubasesx3.exe, version 3.0.2.623, fault address 0x0091d245. " but that error was ir June 25 and today is june 26 and ive started game today at june 26 and it rebooted PC and in that error section about rebooting doesnt written anything like the other rebootings of that reason of the game.
Last edited by rainiuz; 26-06-2005 at 09:40 AM. Reason: ive looked errors
Is this the program you were running? Is it running while you play games?
Was it being used with the CD-ROMs? Just curious really: rather high-end stuff!
Anyway I still find this issue perplexing! Maybe someone else will have an idea.Steinberg CubaseSX3: Cubase SX3 takes music production to a new level by adding more than 70 new features including powerful Audio Warp Realtime Timestretching, an intuitive Play Order Track, convenient Inplace Editing and many new editing functions. If you have 2 broken CD-ROM's connected on the Secondary IDE Channel you can play games from your hard disk. But if you remove one or both then you cannot play.
Are you saying with new CD-ROM's you still have the problem?
