having a few problems with my computer..

I've currently been having a couple of problems with my computer.. my CD burner doesn't burn all the songs i put on Nero. Only half of the songs on the cd work. I have around 6 usb ports on my motherboard but only 2 work... can usb ports get fried? or is there a way to make them work again? i think my ipod caused all this... ever since i put my ipod on my usb ports they don't seem to work.. any suggestions?

    my computer specs are
    pent 4 2.42 ghz
    512 ddr ram 2100
    msi MS-6728 motherboard

    Hi xjrx05,
I've never heard of an ipod burning out a USB port.. but I suppose anythings possible. Try the non-functioning USB ports with another peripheral device (use your mouse if its USB type) to test the USP port. If the USB port tests OK..then.. you know its' the ipods fault..either corrupted music files ,, or something wrong with the ipod hardware.
    Hope this helps

Also check the Device Manager: RT click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager or go to start/run/ devmgmt.msc for any "!"
next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers
& or any listings under: Other Devices.
Also check your DVD/CD drives here for any issues.

Do you have the setup CD for this board?

    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/newsre...ge.php?UID=189

It is no longer listed at the main MSI site ... was looking for USB drivers ...

    Found this:

    But also for USB:

Note: For WinXP, please use Microsoft Windows Update to download driver from Microsoft or aquire the latest service pack.
