Just wondering if there's some util out there that boosts the output volume of a laptop's speakers. I'm using a Sony A317M, which is a decent computer, but has a crappy sound system. Apparently Sony limits the hardware output, isnt there anything that de-restricts it?

get a usb 2.0, firewire or PCI card interface external sound cards to get more power (like 5.1), for cheap look into sound blaster audigy 5.1, m-audio, or hercules... if you got the money lay it all down on a rme audio hammerfall, its DOPE
