Ok, I'm a bit of a new starter at the IT game. I have just been on a course in London and my mate has had problems setting up his pc so he has asked me to have a look at it. I have connected everything up and all the drives seem to be working correctly, but, when I switch on the power the monitor is blank and stays blank. The motherboard is a NVIDIA nFORCE 4 SLI. At first I thought it was the hard drive but this works correctly in my pc. I have also tried swapping graphics cards around without any luck. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!

Any beeps from the board?

Do you get lights? Fans work? Are all the power conections correct?

Does the board have functionality lights? Green/Red/Amber?

But you should check your manual for all neccessary power connections. Main/ 12V/ ATX/ Graphics Card/ etc.

The monitor does not even display a NO SIGNAL INPUT message?
Are you sure the monitor works?

Are you sure the RAM & CPU are seated correctly?

does the monitor do anything?

test each component to make sure that they are ok and working

test monitor if you can
