Having installed the dvd rw I found that my pc is reading it as a cd rw and am lost on how to fix this... Have tried to get a flash upgrade from nec site but it has not worked. Please help as cannot play dvd's or burn them from my camcorder.

Second, what computer make/model do you have? What Operating System do you use? From the outside is sounds like its just a driver issue, but I want to know the first two before we call it that.

Try the firmware from this site.
Note: The lowest verison number is usually the orginal firmware.

Also do you have SP2 installed?
