Could anyone explain what may be happening to my cdr/rw discs. I recently took out a cdr disc that has photos stored on it, but when I put it in my drive (cdrom or rwdrive) the disc spins then stops. if I go to my computer and try to open the disc via the drive letter it tells me the drive isn't ready as though theres no disc in it. This has happened a couple of times with cdr/rw disc that iv'e had for a while. The idea of backing up disc is so you don't lose information but this is pointless if you cant access the disc at a later date.

Are you using the same drive that you burned the data with?

sounds like cd is corrupt......i know that cd/rw supposedly become curropt after a while (i dont know...i never use cdrw....only cdr)

also....what brand do you use? ive had problems with poor brands before!
