    Trouble Booting

Last night my computer was working fine, but now whenever I try to start it, I eventually get the keyboard is not connected properly press F1 to resume. I've switched keyboards, and I've taken the cover off to dust the machine as that was a previous issue. And neither of those worked. What else can I do to resolve this?

Do you Keyboard lights for Caps lock and Num Lock blink at boot?

No, there's no activity on the keyboard. Even on the new one which I know works because I pinched it from another computer in the house.

Sounds like either the Keyboard controller is bad or the socket may be bad. Does your computer have USB? If so, do you know someone who had a USB keyboard you can borrow. Otherwise the only repair options are take it to a chopshop and replace the Keyboard controller on the motherboard or replacing the motherboard.

Thank you, I'll see if I can hunt down a USB keyboard to try.

    Thank you again!
