hi there here's my problem,

i can get my computer on and it works for anything from 15 mins to half an hour, then it resets, sometimes it goes to the blue screen (machine_check_exception).

recently the processor fan was replaced as the old one was broken, we thought this would solve it as the processor had been running at 92 degrees and is now running in the 60s. the drive was also formatted so there is definately no memory problem! none of this has made a difference.

can you think of another reason for this fault? once the computer resets it keeps on resetting, unless i leave it off for a while, then it works again for a while longer. i also get the 'your computer has recovered from a serious error' alert when i get it turned on again.

i have a packard bell i-xtreme 9087 if that information is any use to you

Can you post the dump log?

The only other thing I can think of, other than RAM, is a bus problem (this dosen't mean to say that it could be a software issue). If that's the case it will need a new motherboard.
