I\\\'ve had two hard drives break on me

Hi, ive got a Shuttle barebones system that i built and have used for about 10 months, ive never had any problems with it unitl a few weeks ago. My hard drive started making a loud clicking noise (possibly the reading arm) then crashed. I replaced the hard drive with a spare but that preceded to make a loud squeaking sound after a few days then stopped working altogether. Both hard drives were less than a year old, and under warranty, ive ahd them both replaced, but i was wondering if my PC could have caused both the malfunction in anyway, or was it just bad luck with the hard drives?

Well it could be bad luck with the drives, but I too would head for the power supply as a prime candidate as the possible cause. If the power is "off" or "wandering", it can easily burn up componenets, including your CPU/motherboard.

Also check for ventilation. Make sure your shuttle is nice and cool.
