My DVD and game playing is "jerky" in operation. I have run the DxDiag and have checked the Direct draw and 3D functions. The system is telling me i do not have a problem but it rund the test very slowly, the white cube and the DERECT X cube spin very slowly.

Did this ever work OK?
Is this a new problem?

Try toggling the Enable/ Disable settings there.
In other words Disable | set | then Enable | set

Also try installing DirectX 9.0

Even if you have it try installing it again
