The picture on my screen has a red tinge to it

The picture on my screen has a red tinge to it. I recently reinstalled window, I don't think that has anything to do with it because the problem started a while after that. I fear the worst, that is my monitor has had it. Does anyone know if this is a common problem that can be fixed?

is the monitor connector in properly?
do you have on board graphics ? if not is your graphics card seated properly ?

have you tried the monitor on another PC or another monitor on your PC?

Also, do you have any other electrical devices (especially speakers) next to the monitor that you could try moving further away? Particularly in the case of speakers, nearby magnetic fields can disturb the picture on monitors.

Also, check the signal cable between the PC and the monitor and make sure that there are no bent or broken pins in the connector.

Are your graphics card drivers up to date? Have you tried altering the screen resolution?

All I can sugest is what already been sugested just googled and came up with this

My monitor has a red, blue or green tinge to the screen, Why?
Check the monitor's video lead plug which will have about 15 pins in it. If one of these pins is bent or broken, this will cause the tinge on the screen. You can try and straighten a bent pin but if it is physically broken then you wil have to take it to a repair person.

u can tell I'm using FF spellin' is awful
