hi, i just bought a new mic, and for some reason it does not work. when i plug it in i can hear myself in the speakers but when i try to play counter-strike, or record something i get no responce from it. ive already checked that its in the right jack and that the volume is up and not muted. the mic I had before worked fine on my computer until it broke but now this new one doesent work. i tried it on my brothers computer and it works on his computer so i dont know what to do HELP ME PLEASE!!!! I need counter-strike

I don't know about the Counterstrike game, but if the mic works at the "system level", have you checked for OPTIONS in the game itself? Maybe something needs to be "Enabled".
