i can remember in the past downloading a program that told you stuff like the type of memory you had in your pc. I would prefer not to use the online scan and i know of crucial.com but it was a downloadable prog i was after. any help appreciated!!

its just so i can use it on other machines that at the moment are not connected to internet.if it was this machine only i would have used online. thanks for your help!

Scott, I can assure you that the D-A-L.com Online Hardware Scan certainly doesn't do anything that you wouldn't want it to like retrieve personal information or anything like that. I'm a personal friend of D-A-L so I can confirm that he only had it written to help us all !
