    HP a405n won't start

First post so forgive my ignorance.
My 1 1/2 year old HP a405n decided it wasn't going to start anymore.
Came home and found the usually solid on power LED flashing about 2 times a second.Tried to start the computer but pushing the power button only caused the flashing to slow to about 1 flash a second, no start, fan, etc.
Anyone heard of this before? Thanks.

You have no image on your monitor? What OS? XP home or pro? Have you pulled the power from the back and then put power back to the system?

Yepp, first thing to do is remove the power, then switch machine on once. LEDs should flash for a millisecond or so. Then reconnect power and see if the pC powers on or not

I have unplugged and retried, didn't help.
I have windows XP home ed., no image at all on the monitor.
I have ordered a new psu at a friends suggestion and should recieve it thursday. Hopefully that will fix it. Any other suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Difficult to say anything more, as my next suggestion would have been checking with a different power supply
