Problem with my Dell M992 CRT 19"" Monitor
Hello everyone,
I have this problem, where everything on the monitor (desktop and such) keeps brightening up, and then suddenly darkening again (sometimes darker that it was originally). It's sort of a hard problem to explain.
I am basically wondering if anyone else has had this problem before. I figure it's probably a problem with the monitor itself, because i had the same kind of monitor before this one and it had a different problem.
I have a Dell M992 CRT 19"" Monitor. I have it currently set at 85Hz, and the resolution is 1152 x 864.
Thanks for your support.
P.S. I know this problem may not sound very important, but trust me, it's very annoying.

The problem might be in the refresh rate of your monitor. As long as you keep it about 60hz, and /or where you can see bands or shaking on the screen you should be okay.
NOTE:
If you see any shaking and or bands appearing across the screen (i.e. When TV programes film people looking at a TV), change your display settings imediately!!! Prelonged exposure to these can and will cause migranes!!
Failing that your monitor might be on its way out. The only thing I can suggest is try and get a 17" TFT screen, as TFT's don't suffer from the refresh rate problem and they are equilavent to the CRT screen size above them!
