i have recently purchased a 1800 mhz processer and my computer is only picking it up as a 1350 mhz processer.

can anybody help me...please

p.s my motherboard can only support processers from 1100mhz and up.

It sounds like a multiplier issue or Front Side Bus (FSB) issue. 1800MHz is 1.3333333 times 1350MHz. That makes me think that maybe you've got something set to 100 when it should be 133. These settings will all be in the BIOS screen or (less likely) as a jumper setting on the motherboard.

If that doesn't make any sense, consult your motherboard manual and you should find what I'm talking about.

If it still doesn't make sense, let us know exactly what processor it is that you have bought and we can probably find out the correct settings for you and then guess what it is now incorrectly set up as.
