Are there any experts on ide cables out there. I have a dell 4600 and it has a 33 ide cable...I have been advised to get either a 66 or a 100 one....is it just a matter of direct replacement for these, as in do they have the same connections on the ends, are there always 3 connectors and do you need to enter the bios to make the switch?
