I have an old HP Pavilion 6553 with onboard video & audio running win 98. It has been a good basic pc. The other day I turned it on & got no picture. I have repolaced the PCI video card with 3 others & replaced the CPU with 4 others....any suggestions?????? Help!

Different monitor?

You say both "onboard video" & PCI video card

Are you plugged into the card or the board?

Does the computer sound like it is running? Fans/ Drives?

Do the Floppy & CD lights flash?

Any beeps?

If that doesn't work, i'd say bye bye motherboard

Say it ain't the motherboard please!...Yes...it beeps and everything seems to be running as usual. I've been plugged into both the onboard plug and the card's plug.

Have you tried a different monitor?

As you are testing I would plug into the board & remove the card unless you previously disabled the onboard graphics.

I tried 2 different monitors and made sure both work on a different computer.
