I've got a second hand Dell PC (got it from PC fair yesterday) with win2k on and have a couple of problems ..

1 the win2k is password protected so I can't get into open that .........I've put it a slave and opened it...........where will I find the password or some way of disableing it so I can run it
2 The BIOS wont let me alter anything ie boot sequence as that's password protected (I've removed power cables and battery to reset BIOS)

I know where the PC came from

cmos ram clear(3-pin):jbat
abattery must be used to retain the motherboad/configuration in cmos ram short 1-2 pins of jbat to store the cmos data;
to clear the cmos,follow the procedure below
1 turn off the system and unplug the ac power
2 remove atx power cable from atx power connector
3 locate jbat and short pins 2-3 for a few seconds
4 retun jbat to its normal setting by shorting pins 1-2
5 connect atx power cable back to atx power connector
note when you should clear cmos

2 forget password
3 after over clocking system boot fail
