Bios Reading wrong CPU Clock Speed

Just upgraded P3 CPU System from 667Mhz to a 1Ghz

    Spec:

    Pentium III 1000Mhz/256/133/1.75 (Coppermine)
    GigaByte GA-6VXE7+
    Geforce 4 Titanium 4200 128DDR MB
    Seagate 13.7Gb HDD

Everything else bios read correctly on bootup other than the CPU:
    962Mhz! Which should be 1000Mhz

The board does support Coppermine Upto 1Ghz

    Just browsing the manual:

    GA-6VXE7+

Do you have these switches set right:

set jumpers correctly but still same reading!!!

962Mhz... would it be due to BIOS version? How would i know which BIOS version i have?

download everest & look under motherboard | BIOS

    http://www.lavalys.com/products/over...ng=en&pageid=1

also look how cpu is listed under motherboard | cpu

also how is the cpu listed when you right click my computer then click properties?
