    Exclamation Plugging in IDE1

Ok, please help if you can,

    Thankyou, Keshi

(if your wondering, specs are - 2.4GHZ celeron D socket 478, 256RAM, and a MSI VIA Mother Board..... all new!! and the HDD's 20GB & 1.2GB (old))

A weird problem that I've seen before. Does it work if you only plug in one of the two drives? If so, it's a cabling or jumper problem. Are you using Cable Select? If you are, use Master and Slave jumpers instead as Cable Select can cause all kinds of irritating problems. Finally, try putting the two hard drives on two separate IDE cables, one into the primary channel and the other into the secondary channel.

Let us know if that helps
