Exclamation windows doesn't recognise USB device!! help, please.

    Hiya there

I really need help. My usb devices won't recognise my pen disk, neither my scanner... I don't inderstand how this happened, I only remember that I was editing a text on Word, which was saved on my pen disk. When I went to save it again, it didn't accept to save on the pen, so I just saved it in my computer, thinking the problem was lack of space on the pen disk. But when I went to "my computer", the device wasn't there. So I unplugged the pen and plugged it in again, and when I made this an error message appeared, saying something like:

    "USB device not recognized
there has been an error on one of the USB devices plugged into this computer and Windows doesn't recognise it. To obtain assistance on troubleshooting, click this message"

after this, I tried to plug in a pen disk from a friend of mine, but the message showed uo again. I ran the troubleshooting but it didn't solve the problem. The weirdest thing is that when that happened, my was unplugged and when I plugged it in the usb it worked properly, but the pen disk hasn't worked on my computer since then, and today I tried to use my scanner too and the same error message showed up. I'm afraid that it may be only a matter of time until my modem stops working either, since it is usb plugged.
Just for the record, I tried to plug the pen disk in every of my 4 usb "holes", but it just didn't work.
This has never happened to me before, and I just don't know what to do! Please, help me! And sorry for my bad english and technical vocabulary, I'm really not a computer expert :s

    Thanks,
    Yuna.

Sounds like Corrupt Drivers. Can you give us some more specific information? Or if you dont know, run the D-A-L online Hardward scan.
