I'm using a asrock k7s8x motherboard with winxp. when you connect a pendrive or a cardreader it locks the computer.

How to solve this problem?

When did this start? Has it always been that way since owning the computer? Have you tried a different USB device like a mouse?

I do have exactly the same problem . I 'v used the mobo for several months (with Win2000) without any problem and suddenly it started locking and even shutting down the computer when using USB devices (mouse, scanner, external soundcard). I do have workarounds for not having to use my USB ports (such as 'using my other computer') but is no fun!
Is there someone who has a solution?
