Hello all,
Has anyone out there had any trouble returning a P4 heatsink and fan unit to Intel?
The reason i ask is my PC started to make alot of noise when under heavy use. This noise would continue even after several reboots and having been left switched off for several hours. It turns out that its the CPU fan thats to blame. No problem i thought as its covered by Intels OWN 3yr warrenty and its only about 1 yr old.
Unfortunatly Intel wont replace the fan as its NOT covered by the 3yr warrenty that my CPU is so ive had to buy a 3rd party replacement .
Having emailed intel several time with no reply im getting a little hacked off with it all and was wondering if a move to AMD would prove a better expeirence .
Any advice?
