LCD Help Needed...:(
I have a Samsung V25 Notebook, which I bought a year ago. Today there seems to be a problem with the screen. There is a Turquoise coloured fuzz that is mainly affecting areas that are normally white, but it is working fine otherwise. There are times (if you tilt/hold the screen a certain way) that the display is normal but the fuzz returns with movement. The notebook hasn't been dropped or anything so I don't know why this has happened. I just wanted to know if anyone had any idea what the problem was and what is the best way of dealing with it. The notebook is no longer under guarentee, so I'll be paying for anything needed myself.
Hope this is the right place to post and that someone has some suggestions to help. Thanks.

Could be a magnetic field (e.g. TV, speakers, etc) somewhere around the laptop that is disturbing it. Take the laptop to a different room in the house (or out in the garden would be ideal) and see if you have the same problem.
I expect that you will but it's easiest to rule out the quick and free solutions first!

No it makes no difference where the I take it. I think it is a problem with the screen - everything else on the display is fine; except these fuzzy turquoise areas, which are a bit like static on a tv. Oh and some black areas are dotted with red static too. Could something be loose or is it damaged?

Sounds like the screen is faulty. Do you have an external monitor that you could plug into it (or a tv and a suitable cable) so that we can check that they show a perfect picture? If they do, then we can be confident that the screen is faulty. If an external screen has the same problem, then the issue is with your graphics card.

I checked it on my friends PC monitor and the display was fine. So looks like there's something wrong with my screen. Is it going to be really expensive to sort out?

If you take it into a repair shop and ask them to supply and fit a new screen then yes, that will be expensive.
Alternatively, if you're technically minded, you might be able to find a second-hand screen on Ebay and fit it yourself. Be careful though - there could be many different types of screens used during your laptop model's production run and you'll need to get one that's compatible. Also bear in mind that, if you aren't used to opening up computers or laptops and taking them apart, there's the distinct chance that you could accidentally do something that wrecks the whole thing.
Sorry I couldn't tell you how easy it will be ....... but that's why there aren't many shops that do laptop repairs!
