My laptop right, it sometimes just suddenly shuts off the screen laptop light.....its still on and everything running bit ..the background light shuts off and i cant orr dont know how to get it back on. Sometimes i cant still see whats on the screen but hardly .... it like looking at a shadow...whats wrong with it????

what series is it? A? K? X? etc.

besides that have you checked under Control Panel > Display?

or the Device Manager?

also: do you have any Power Options set? The Power Saver?

are you on a battery when this happens?
