i have to hold down each key on my keyboard for about 2 seconds before it will type. All keys require this, what could be the source of this problem?

Did this just start happening?

Have you tried a different keyboard?

What is your Operating System?

Have you checked Control Panel > Keyboard?

Do you have an Ethernet card installed?

Yes, this slow typing problem just started happening. I switched keyboards and the problem continued. I checked the keyboard settings in the control panel. and they seem to be correct. The OS is Windows XP.

Perhaps try a system restore. To a point prior to the problem.

I saw a similar problem that was linked to the use of an Ethernet card is why I asked that question. btw.
