PC wont Stay on for more than 5 Seconds
Where to begin..ok
1 I have built many PC's in the past and have never had this kind of problem
2 I bought the pieces to build a new pc MB CPU and the giddies to boot. Get it all together power it up and about 5 sec’s of power then turns off... ok switch the CPU with my main machine still about 5 sec’s of power then turns off.... put my CPU back in my main machine... About 5 sec’s of power then turns off... Try the other CPU in my machine.... about 5 secs of power then turns off.. so now I am down 2 PC's and it is driving me nuts.
Actions taken so far....
1. Reset Cmos
2. Removed mem
3. Removed VGA
4. Changed Power Supply
5. Tried Different power cables
Not Tried
1. Beat it with a big hammer
Thanks in advance

Two suggestions:
Try and get one hard disk working on its own (the boot drive). Once you've proved that that's working OK, you'll be a bit happier and feel like you're getting somewhere
Then add the second drive and see what happens.
Using 'cable select' can be problematic. Some PCs don't like it at all. If you're not going to be frequently swapping drives around, it's best to use the 'Master' and 'Slave' settings.
If you still can't get both drives to run at the same time, put them on different IDE cables with no CDROM drives or other devices connected.
