Question Siren Noises In My Tower!!

Hi all, I hope some one can help me with this problem it is driving me mad!!.
when i switch on my computer I get a sound coming from the tower which i can only describe as a two tone siren type of sound, it continues for a good few minutes and then it stops.
anyone got any clues what it is and how to stop it?
    regards IAN

    Is it like Beep-Boop-Beep-Boop???

if so then it could be a few things, but usually its either the CPU is too hot, or the PSU is pulling too much/too little power. The other thing it maybe, is a chassis intrusion alarm, if you have yours enabled in the BIOS!! other than that, i dunno :-/

If its a high sound and then seems to cycle down like an air raid siren its only one of the fans. Annoying but as long as its still running when it quiets down it wont do any damage. I have one.

Go into your BIOS, check to see if you have your 'Chassis Intrusion Alarm' enabled. If it is enabled, then disable it, then re-start pc. if the noise is gone then good. if not, then its obvioulsy something else.
