    Moving a hard drive

I have a 486 with a 3 gig HD that I want to move over into my P4, so I can more easily transfer some files out of My Documents. That HD is in a machine using W95. Is this going to present problems with the host machine using 98?
I don't quite know where on the motherboard I should connect the additional HD. Ideas?

You should have no problems. Make sure the jumpers on the back of the 3 gig are set to slave (usually no jumper) and place on the middle connecton of the cable that goes to your P4 Main Drive.

If this cable has no "middle""slave" connector you can temporarily unplug your CD or DVD drive & plug that into the 3 gig. If you do that you will want to keep the jumper as a master. You will then be exchanging data between your Primary & Secondary masters.
