Not sure this is the right place for this but here goes.

Ive just removed my old DVD RAM and CD/RW and put in a new DVD/RW. So now I only have a DVD/ROM and a DVD/RW. NO probs there I thought.
When I rebooted I got the re-activation warning. I've apparently got 3 Days to do it.
The problem is I got this comp from my brother but there was no XP disc with it. I'm sure it is a genuin(spelling) copy as I have updated and patched it several times online.
So I put back the CD/WR and still get the re-activation warning. That means I have only changed one drive and have got 3 days to re-activate.
Any Ideas anybody.

I also seem to have a virtual CD drive that I never noticed before. When I look at the hardware devices installed in system info or device management, it shows drive D E F and G as CD Rom devices (D is the virtual device). Anybody shed any light on this.?

Panic over.
I tried the online reactivation and it worked without any fuss....Cool.
Not worked out the virtual CD ROM device yet. I think it might have something to do with my Nero software.
