    No SCreen on Boot Up

I just built a new desktop and it's been working fine since i built it 2 weeks ago. WELL, tonight, I was online and all of a sudden my cold cathode neon goes out. I look over and I smell a faint burning scent. It seemed like it was coming from the cold cathode little box thingie but when I went back to my PC, it was frozen so I restarted. Now I am getting no screen on my boot up and a beeping noise from the PC when it tries to start up. The fans all go, and the leds all go on, but no screen. I haven't overclocked or tried anything risky or sneaky with this PC. When I ordered the motherboard I even had them install the CPU, Heatsink and RAM and test it all out to make sure it all works before they even sent it to me. I was then thinking that I might have fried my CPU but I have NO idea how to tell whats going on. Any suggestions??

Could you please tell us the sequence of beeps - this is a diagnostic code that we can translate for you. The beeps will be emitted in a pattern of long and short beeps, e.g. long-long-short-short-short, etc.

Please also let us know what BIOS type your motherboard uses, e.g. AMI, Award, etc. It should say this in the motherboard manual if you cannot see it labelled on the BIOS chip.

Thanks for the reply but I found out what the problem was. My Cold Cathode neon burned out and much have caused some kind of short because when I removed it, the insides of it were all melted and when I put everything back together, everything Ran. I found out that the beep was that al the tests ran OK during the boot up. It was just one short beep.
