    Help, I can't make a socket 939 motherboard decision!

Hi guys - I've bought an Antec P160 case and an Antec True-blue 480watt PSU so I'm now looking at buying a good quality socket 939 mobo. I plan to use an Athlon 64 3500+ Winchester.

This is my first PC build, so I'm taking my time researching each component that I buy for value, quality and compatibility. With the right processor and mobo being crucial, vital components, I would appreciate some advice prior to buying the above mentioned processor.

Asus and Gigabyte boards seem to be well respected; however, I'm finding myself bewildered by choice. I have a budget of around £100, but would consider going higher if the performance gains would benefit dramatically.

    Thanks for your time.

Hi - I'm a first-time PC builder and have decided on this mobo:

I intend to slot in an Athlon64 3500+ Winchester.

    Is this a good choice?

    Thannx for your time.

I wish I'd changed the title! Or is it just me?

I'm not sure if I have inadvertently offended anybody. I'm not experienced at using forums so if I have, I apologise.

I dont think you have offended, but we tend not to voice our opinions on things we do not know...I havent responeded because I know nothing on AMD based systems, other than basic trouble shooting.
