what windows are you installing? & which service pack?

after install did you try windows update for drivers?

or try your manufacturer for drivers?

where/ what is telling you there is no sound card?

have you checked Control Panel > Sound & Audio Devices?

or rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager then Sound, Video, Game Controllers?
