quick look seems like that "stick" is compatible.

so what is your operating system?
if XP right click the task bar & open Task Manager/ Performance
what do you see under Physical Memory?
Also rt. click my computer then click properties
what is listed as RAM
also how much RAM does the BIOS POST count? (when you first boot the machine)

what is in the machine right now? how many "sticks" what sizes?

where are you getting the RAM info (error) from?
