Digital Camera - installation problem.
Please help...
I've got a very basic model Digital Camera
Fuji Film A403.
It did download via the USB connect dine - but does not any longer.
I've tried re-installing the software, but durring the process I get this error:-
An installation support file
'C:\docume~1\Girogi\local~1\temp\{24ed4d80-8294-11d5-96cd-00402 66301ad}\setup.inx'
could not be installed
data error (cyclic redundancy check).
It then continues to install but although I get the "SOUND" that tells me I've connected to a USB port - It doesn't see the camera (and wont read the files).
I do get a little icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen which says "safley remove hardwear".
Please help me guys.

Try removing the software first as follows:
Click the Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel and double-click on Add/Remove Programs if you're on Windows 2000.
Click the Start Menu > Control Panel if you're on Windows XP. Click the 'Switch to Classic View' option. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
Select your camera software in the list and press the Remove button.
Reboot.
When it comes back on, log in and go into Windows Explorer. Browse to the following directory: C:\documents and settings\Girogi\local settings\temp.
This is a hidden directory so, if you don't see it, you'll need to switch on hidden files and folders (do a search on this forum for instructions to do this if you aren't sure).
Delete the contents of the Temp folder (not the actual folder itself, just the files).
Empty your Recycle Bin if there's nothing else in there that you want to keep.
Reboot.
Install your camera software again. Should be OK now.

Followed that - I could,'t delete all the temp files (some in use by othert applications).
BUt still not downloading - any other suggestions?

I think you originally said that this camera did work some time ago. Have you installed any new hardware or software since it was working OK?
