Hi,
I have a Pioneer DVR 107D 8X DVD burner for almost a year now. Few days ago it stopped working. All DVD functionality has ceased. It cant read any DVD's (ones I previously burnt using the same burner and original DVD's). It read's CD's fine tho. IT just wont read any DVD's. I did not install anything new on my PC to cause any conflicts. The OS I'm using is Win Xp Pro. I have already uninstalled n reinstalled the hardware, short of taking it out physically. The latest firmware have been downloaded and it still dont work.

Does anyone have any idea about this problem. Much appreciated.

Have you cleaned it recently? DVDs use a different beam width than CDs do.

yeap I've just cleaned it and still same condition. guess I'll have to bin it
