    Matshi,ta DVD-Ram Burning Error

Hi, Ive been trying to burn CDs on my Mat****a (Mats, hita) DVD/CD RW but I have been unable to burn a full CD because half way through burning the CD the error message 4251 appears and it ejects the disc. Can someone please tell me what I need to do in order for this to stop occuring. Many thanks,
    WillRoo

The error code is probably generated by your CD burning software. Which program do you use?

Well I'm using iTunes but I have looked up the error code with thm and have found no such error number.

I'm having the same problem with the Mat****a DVD-Ram burner. I'm getting realy frustrated as it's the second burner I've been through. If there's anything anyone can tell me that would be great. I've tried using Nero burning software, iTunes, and windows and none of them work. They all cut out before it's done. Someone please help.

Maybe it's a buffer under-run error and you both need to reduce the speed of the recording process?

I already tried that. I have a 16x burner and I tried it at 12x and 8x. It didn't change anything. It also won't even recognize blank DVD's.

It's a Mat****a DVD-RAM UJ-811. Also, it's on an Alienware Sentia Notebook. I'm kinda pissed that I paid so much money and it doesn't work, maybe I'm just a sucker.

That is one pile of junk drive! I am finding 22000 hits on problems with that drive!

Here are some links I have come up with...and Panisonic seems to not even recognize UJ-811 as a drive type on their web.

I ordered a new drive... Hopefully it'll work. That seems to be the only thing to do because this one is terrible.
