    Removing HD Partition

    Hi,

When I bought this computer, it came with a 60 GB hard drive and Windows ME. This C drive had a partition with a PC recovery tool (Dise?) to restore the PC to it's original factory configuration. I later upgraded to Win 2K and deleted the recovery info as well as the partition.
My Problem is that I now have 4.66 GB of unallocated space (see screencap of device manager). How do I allocate this space without converting from FAT 32 to NTFS?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

just right click in the unallocated space. You should get a drop down menu. It will ask to either initialize the partition or format the partition. If you have the format option, pick that. You will then get the option to format in ntfs or fat32 via a drop down box. Pick the fat32 option. You should also get a option for either a normal format or a quick format. Pick the one you want.

If you get initialize, the do it. It will then come round to the format and pick a drive letter option, as above.
