    HDD to HDD Question? Anyone?

Ok the current HDD im using is about to go out, so im using a RMA and returning it under warranty for another one. For now im buying another HDD which is the same brand, manufacturer, model, size.. etc.

Anyways the HDD is a seagate 160gig 7200rpm 8mb cache drive and I need to know what program that is hopefully free that I can use to transfer everything from my current hdd to the new one. It neds to be able to work without reinstalling windows.

I was told that it is possible but might not work. anyways... alot of help would be needed.

Personally, I'd recommend using Norton Ghost. It isn't free but it is good.

Alternatively, HDCopy will do the same thing for free on an evaluation basis. If you only want it to copy your entire hard disk to a new hard disk, then evaluating it for one hour will get the job done. Whether you then want to put your hand in your pocket and give the bloke that wrote it a few quid is up to you. http://www.hdcopy.com/english/hdcopy/default.htm
