My Compaq Presario 1725 computer monitor (several years old) has a color problem that started today. Whites look pinkish, and some other colors are the wrong color. I see lots of aqua blue and orange. Black text seems the same. Some colors now show as black. Some games that normally display several colors are not even playable. Rebooting the PC did not help.

Do I need a new monitor, or could this be due to something else? Thanks for any advice.

it sounds like to me that the tube in the moniter id buggered

can you borrow another one to try and see if that is ok
