    Weird Freezing Problem

When ever i start up my comp, it successfully boots to desktop. about 5 minutes after, it will freeze, hence forcing me to turn it off by clicking the power button for 5 seconds. and when i turn it back on, my CD-RW drive pops out (no cd is inside) and windows will be good for the rest of the day, any ideas?

Try disabling all power saving options and see if that makes a difference - there might be a device that thinks it's supposed to go into Standby after 5 minutes, which then screws everything up. Also make sure that Hibernate support is disabled. If the problem persists, you can switch any power-saving back on and we'll try something else
